About ESD

Hardin County Emergency District 6 is a political subdivision of Hardin County that collects ad valorem taxes on all real property located within the district and collects 2 percent of sales tax outside the city limits of Silsbee. Hardin Commissioners appoint 5 commissioners to serve on the ESD Board of Directors. This board governs the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department and the VFD Fire Chief Robin Jones acts as liaison to the board
